How Do Touch-Activated Scent Stickers Work?

Touch-activated scent stickers use microencapsulated fragrance technology to apply scent to specific areas of a sticker. Gently rubbing the scented area releases the fragrance, allowing the scent to correspond directly with selected graphics, text, or design elements.

Under normal use and storage conditions, the scented area can support approximately 1,000 scent-releasing rubs, according to the product specifications. The fragrance can also continue to be released after periods of inactivity.

1. Transparent Standard Version

Features a transparent scent-release layer that largely preserves the original appearance of the artwork and material. It provides moderate fragrance intensity and is suitable for many standard applications.

2. Transparent High-Scent Version

Uses the same transparent scent-release layer with enhanced fragrance intensity. Consider this option for projects that require a more noticeable scent experience.

3. Thermochromic Standard Version

Combines scent release with a black-to-clear thermochromic effect. The coating appears black at room temperature and turns transparent when warmed by touch, revealing the artwork beneath while fragrance is released through gentle rubbing.

4. Thermochromic High-Scent Version

Combines the thermochromic visual effect with enhanced fragrance intensity. It is designed for projects seeking a stronger visual and olfactory impact.

For brands with a specific scent identity, bespoke fragrance development is also available as an additional paid service. Development may involve refining combinations from the existing fragrance library or creating a new concept, with scent direction confirmation and one to two rounds of sample refinement.
